Procedure and deadline

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture is responsible for reviewing all applicants. The immigration section will provide each successful candidate a letter of approval.
After receiving a provisional letter, the applicant must travel to Malaysia and meet the following requirements:

Open a bank account in Malaysia and make a deposit
Buy health insurance from any insurance company in Malaysia
Get a medical report from any private hospital or a registered clinic in Malaysia

After submitting a prescribed savings certificate, health insurance policy and medical opinion, an applicant may require an MM2H visa.

It is important to note that a visa does not allow the holder to work in Malaysia and does not allow permanent residence.
